Duncan Goodwin CPA
Duncan is the proprietor of Goodwin Porter Hétu, managing the growing practice since 2004. As the leader of a talented group of accounting and tax specialists at GPH he provides technical and advisory services to small & medium-sized businesses, individuals, and estates in Georgina and beyond. Duncan’s expertise in accounting and tax underpins practical solutions for the firm’s clients, uniquely delivered with a focus on client education, and backed by a commitment to personal service.

Michelle MacRae
Michelle MacRae has been with the firm since 2009 and worked with small businesses for many years before then. She has a wealth of practical business knowledge and provides accounting, payroll, personal tax, corporate tax, and financial statement preparation services in her role at GPH. Michelle has also spent several years with Estate services, assisting and advising executors with the complex tax and compliance reporting requirements. A life-long resident of Georgina, Michelle thoroughly understands the local business environment.

Melodie Stone
Melodie Stone provides accounting, payroll and related services with precision & expertise. She is a current student of CPA Ontario, continuing her 2nd career which began in 2016 after achieving her Business Diploma. Over the past 7 years she has developed a strong practical business background in accounting and related matters, having spent several years with a Chamber of Commerce, and more recently managing the accounting for several small businesses.
Office Administrator and Technician
Sarah LeRoux
Sarah Leroux joined the firm in 2021, after several years of business administration positions with local business. She is pursuing certificates in accounting and tax and as a Quickbooks Certified Pro Advisor provides bookkeeping, payroll and tax services to many clients. Sarah also supports the staff of GPH in many other ways, assisting with personal tax and estate files, and obtaining information and corresponding with Canada Revenue Agency in the resolution of a wide variety of matters.

Denise Mitchell CPA
Denise Mitchell is a professional accountant with a career spanning 30 years in the public practice field. She has lived and worked in Georgina for many years, plying her craft at firms in Keswick, and more recently Sutton. Denise provides an amazing customer experience to many local clients, excelling in corporate accounting and financial statement preparation as well as income tax for businesses and individuals, with a special emphasis on investment accounting and taxation.
Accounting & Tax Technician
Elyse Lockie
Elyse joined GPH in 2016 when she discovered the joy of accounting while a practicing RMT. Since then, she has acquired significant skills in accounting, tax, and payroll, augmented by her continuing education in the accounting field. Elyse is the firm’s primary Quickbooks Certified Pro Advisor and enjoys digging into the technical aspects of accounting software. She assists and trains clients in Quickbooks – advancing the firm’s goal of increasing clients’ accounting and tax knowledge.

Anna Goodwin
Anna has acquired a great deal of knowledge about income tax services through active participation at GPH during the Tax Season. She is the long-time spouse of the proprietor and as the one ‘in charge’, she presides over the front desk in Queen-like fashion, directing the business activities with efficiency and warmth – a rare combination. She is a charming person and is welcomed by customers and staff alike. She also makes a great cup of tea.
